We are seeking a reliable and organized Office Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of a small, welcoming church community with an active nursery school. This is a hands-on role in a small office where you will play an essential part in keeping things running smoothly.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (flexible by agreement)
What the role involves:
This position supports both the church and its nursery school. A typical day may include preparing documents, managing records, processing tuition payments, responding to emails, and helping the pastor stay organized and on schedule. In a small office setting, priorities can shift, so flexibility and a willingness to handle a variety of tasks are important.
Responsibilities include:
General office management and administrative support
Processing nursery school tuition and maintaining accurate records
Assisting the pastor with scheduling and communications
Managing documents, correspondence, and basic office systems
Handling a variety of tasks as they arise in a small, active organization
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, manage time well, and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision
Friendly, professional demeanor and comfort interacting with a variety of people
Experience in a nonprofit or faith-based setting is a plus
Compensation:
$19–$22 per hour, based on experience
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
