Apollo is seeking an Analyst/Associate to assist with providing day-to-day financial and business support to Apollo Capital Solutions. This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Apollo Capital Solutions (ACS). This role will support all activities associated with setting and tracking financial and business objectives, performance monitoring, business analytics, and ad-hoc business initiatives at the request of senior management.

ACS is the execution engine behind Apollo’s capital markets and syndication activity, partnering with investment teams and clients across the Apollo platform. The centralized team is designed to support seamless and effective execution on behalf of our clients and counterparties – including corporate issuers, sponsors, investors or large financial institutions, banks and insurers.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist the CFO of ACS with driving the execution of financial and business objectives across the ACS business, focused on optimizing commercial impact and transparency of financials.

Coordinate across all Finance disciplines (e.g., Controllers, Strategic Finance, Investor Relations, Accounting Policy, etc.), Business Chief Operating Officer (COO) teams, and other firmwide stakeholders as needed to drive effective decision-making in support of the ACS priorities.

Partner with the business on ACS transaction and revenue management. Maintain the day-to-day ACS transaction and fee pipeline, ensuring accuracy and completeness of key transaction details and track against budget targets. Collaborate with deal teams, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders to structure and report transaction-related fees and economics.

Assist with executive narrative around performance drivers and outlook for the ACS business.

Act as key contributor towards monthly forecasts, multi-year planning processes and other recurring deliverables focused on the economic profile of the ACS business.

Work closely with controllers, Strategic Finance, and members of the ACS COO team to develop actionable insights for ACS leadership as well as drive strategic initiatives for the business.

Ensure expense vigilance across the ACS business, with early indicators of expense drivers, close monitoring of variance against expectations and proactive management of risks and opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.

2-3+ years of professional work experience (prior experience in Big 4 or financial services, investment management, or a related field).

Experience with U.S. GAAP (CPA or CA preferred)

Excellent quantitative, analytical, and modeling skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Access, Macros, and Power Point.

Highly organized, keen attention to detail, and able to effectively manage multiple processes simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various internal and external constituents.

Embraces a culture centered on teamwork and is flexible with job responsibilities.

Strong judgment needed to: i) foresee potential risks and roadblocks to task completion; and ii) identify effective solutions.

Excels in a rigorous and fast-paced work environment.
