Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, tech-savvy IT Systems & Operations Support Specialist to manage day-to-day IT infrastructure, assist end users, and maintain key business applications. This role is ideal for a proactive professional eager to grow their career in systems administration, cloud infrastructure, and network security within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
End-User & Helpdesk Support: Provide timely, courteous technical support for local and remote satellite offices across North America using proper helpdesk ticketing protocols.
Workstation & User Onboarding: Handle equipment procurement, workstation setups, end-user account creation, and hardware/software troubleshooting (MS Windows 10/11 environment).
Cloud & Collaboration Administration: Administer Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, and user access management.
Network & Security Management: Support local network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VoIP, wireless networking) and assist with web/firewall security policies.
Vendor & Service Management: Assist in overseeing external IT service agreements, telecommunications providers, printer leases, and hardware vendors.
Web & Documentation: Support website hosting platforms and maintain thorough technical documentation for system configurations, process improvements, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience: Technical diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on IT support experience.
Systems & Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VoIP, wireless administration, and basic firewall/security policy management.
OS & Hardware Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows environments, desktop hardware, and software troubleshooting.
Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite management (SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID/Active Directory).
Communication & Organization: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; strong ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage helpdesk queues effectively.
Problem-Solving Ability: A self-starter attitude with a strong drive to research solutions independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
