IT Support & Trading Systems Engineer
Location: Mumbai (On-site) Andheri West
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on IT Support & Trading Systems Engineer to manage and support the technology infrastructure of a live trading desk .
This role is critical to ensuring system uptime, low latency, and uninterrupted trading operations during market hours.
Key Responsibilities
Trading Desk Support
• Ensure uninterrupted operation of trading terminals, OMS/RMS, and market data systems
• Provide real-time troubleshooting during market hours for:
• Order execution issues
• System lag or latency
• Connectivity or terminal failures
• Coordinate with OMS/RMS vendors, exchanges, and brokers for issue resolution
• Server & Infrastructure Management
• Manage and monitor Linux and Windows servers
• Track system health: CPU, memory, disk usage, logs, latency
• Maintain backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery systems
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades
Network & Connectivity
• Manage leased lines, internet connections, and failover systems
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls
• Ensure low-latency, high-availability network performance
• Liaise with ISPs and connectivity providers for uptime and performance
Security & Access Control
# Implement and manage user access, permissions, and credentials
Ensure data security and system integrity
Maintain logs and access records as required for audits
Hardware & User Support
• Setup and maintain trading PCs, multi-monitor setups, and peripherals
• Install and manage OS, trading software, and utilities
• Provide quick on-desk support to traders and risk teams
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory
#2–4+ years experience in IT support for:
# Trading desk / prop desk / brokerage / fintech environment
# Strong knowledge of:
• Linux & Windows server administration
• Networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
• System monitoring and troubleshooting
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, real-time environment
Preferred (Good to Have)
• Experience with OMS/RMS platforms
• Knowledge of exchange connectivity or co-location setups
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, etc.)
• Understanding of capital markets and trading workflows
Work Environment
• On-site role
• Market-hour critical support
• Fast-paced trading environment
Compensation
₹5 – ₹10 LPA (depending on experience and skill set)
