Job Description
Spink the international auction house have an opportunity in IT - this is a great junior or first role - this position requires a first or second line of support to the company users and clients.
The candidate will be expected to be present in the office every day to handle day to day user and client issues via telephone or support desk. There is no remote working.
It is expected the candidate will grow in this position to have a good understanding of the auction business and its requirements regarding new software, bidding platforms, applications, company contracts with various suppliers, etc.
This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their career in IT support within a professional environment that values technical expertise and excellent service delivery.
General Responsibilities
Keep IT Equipment around building neat and in good order.
Maintain user workstations - neat wiring, keyboards, mouse, screens etc.
Maintain printers - paper stocked, toners changed, scanning glass clean etc.
Errands, moving equipment etc.
Admin, reports, spreadsheets, taking inventory etc.
Core Responsibilities
Logging and resolving IT issues via telephone or support desk.
Maintain user accounts - Resetting passwords, updating details.
Maintain client accounts - Resetting passwords, updating details.
Maintain applications - MS Office and various web and desktop based applications.
Set up live auctions - Ensure equipment is set up for auction room and live broadcast. All equipment charged and batteries on hand.
Set up web conferences - Assist user setting up web conferences in meeting rooms.
Maintain mobiles \ tablets - Assist users with phone and email configurations.
Maintain remote working - Assist users with remote connection configurations.
Administer websites like our holiday system and magazine.
Uploading auction listings to our website and bidding platform.
Key Skills Required
It would be useful if you were able to lift 20kg
It would be useful if you were able to climb under desks and adjust wiring.
Pleasant telephone and desk side manner
Good organisation
Windows 7 and higher
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
General understanding of web browsers mobiles and tablets.
General understanding of desktop hardware and maintenance.

Pay: £24,420.00-£25,500.00 per year
