Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator to support daily IT operations in a mixed office and lab environment. This role requires strong hands-on capability in end- user device provisioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining reliable IT services. The candidate should be comfortable working independently while following structured processes aligned with ITIL practices. and have an interest in emerging technologies such as AI to support evolving workplace capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
End-User Support and Device Management
Provision, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
Manage user onboarding, offboarding, and access setup
Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application issues (Windows/macOS)
Maintain device inventory and lifecycle management (refresh, repair, disposal)
Support lab devices, including setup and issue resolution in testing environments
IT Operations and Service Management
Handle service requests and incidents in line with SLA expectations
Follow ITIL-based practices (incident, request, problem management)
Maintain documentation for standard operating procedures and known issues
Coordinate with global or regional IT teams when escalation is required Infrastructure and Systems Support
Administer Active Directory (user accounts, groups, basic GPOs)
Support network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN, basic troubleshooting)
Assist in managing office IT infrastructure (switches, routers, printers)
Provide basic support for servers and shared services (file servers, backups, etc.)
Security and Compliance
Ensure endpoint compliance with security policies (patching, antivirus, encryption)
Support access control and least-privilege practices
Assist with audits and IT policy enforcement
Vendor and Asset Coordination
Liaise with vendors for hardware procurement, repairs, and maintenance
Track and manage IT assets, licenses, and warranties
AI Enablement and Innovation
Demonstrate interest in AI tools and technologies that improve workplace productivity
Support rollout and adoption of company-approved AI tools
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IT or service desk tasks
Requirements
Experience and Skills
6 to 10 years of experience in IT support or IT administration
Strong hands-on experience with device provisioning and troubleshooting
Good working knowledge of Active Directory and user management
Basic understanding of networking (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Exposure to server environments (Windows Server or similar)
Familiarity with ITIL concepts and service desk workflows
Technical Competencies
Windows and/or macOS administration
Endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM, or similar) is an advantage
Ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management or equivalent)
Office 365 / Google Workspace administration
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Clear communication with both technical and non-technical users
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proactive and ownership-driven mindset
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL Foundation certification (or equivalent experience)
Experience supporting lab or engineering environments
Exposure to automation or scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus
Hands-on exposure to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, automation platforms)
