Job Description
Local Unit & Position Description:
Maritime Advisory India is a growing consulting and Research & Innovation unit overseeing activities in Region Southeast Asia, Pacific and India. DNV ambition is to be a data-smart solutions organisation providing management and technical advisory services within the maritime industry, focussing on Maritime Decarbonisation, Digital Transformation and Sustainability. Our key stakeholders include shipowners, charterers, maritime authorities/government entities and defence, banks/investment/leasing companies with interest on maritime assets and infrastructure, LNG suppliers and traders, and maritime technology providers and the digital eco-system/start-ups. We are currently focusing our Consulting and research activities within the areas of maritime decarbonisation, digitalisation and sustainability.
This position will be on a 6-month contract term (with the possibility for a contract extension) based in India. We are seeking candidates who are Bachelor or Master degree student. He/she will work in advisory projects and leading-edge Research and Innovation activities including the use of new technologies in maritime sector such as IOT/Edge, autonomous and zero-emission vessels, data platform/data analytics. The selected individuals can expect to work in a dynamic, high performing team with diverse technical and management background, nationalities and experience, leveraging on DNV global network, accelerated learning curve and working on exciting projects with meaningful impact to the clients’ organisation and wider maritime industry.
Position Qualifications:
The right candidates will have the following background/requirements:
Bachelor or Master degree student with relevant major in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
Conduct research on decarbonisation technologies, regulations, and industry trends to support the development of sustainable strategies for maritime clients.
Assist in the projects related to energy efficiency, alternative fuels, and emission reduction technologies in the maritime industry
Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other deliverables for clients, summarizing findings and recommendations for decarbonisation projects.
Collaborate with the project team to identify and evaluate potential decarbonisation opportunities for maritime clients.
Stay up to date with the latest developments and innovations in decarbonisation and sustainability practices within the maritime sector.
Communicate, using appropriate channels, in a clear, open, active and honest manner
