Job description
We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer / Millwork Designer with a strong background in high-end residential kitchens and cabinetry. The ideal candidate has a passion for contemporary European design, excellent technical skills, and the ability to bring creative visions to life through detailed millwork drawings and specifications. A strong sales acumen is also essential, as this role involves guiding clients through the design process and converting leads into sales.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop high-end kitchen layouts, cabinetry, and millwork solutions tailored to client needs.
• Create and refine technical drawings, including shop drawings for fabrication, using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to ensure seamless execution of designs.
• Select and specify materials, finishes, and hardware for custom millwork projects.
• Review and coordinate project details with manufacturing teams and installers.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored design solutions.
• Assist in sales efforts by preparing proposals, presenting designs, and helping clients make confident purchasing decisions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and builders to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining high design standards and attention to detail.
Qualifications Skills:
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in kitchen design, millwork, or cabinetry design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or other 3D modelling software.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and millwork construction techniques.
• Experience working with luxury European cabinetry brands is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with high-end clientele.
• Strong sales acumen with experience in consultative selling and guiding clients through design decisions.
• Ability to build trust and credibility with clients through expert guidance and design expertise.
• Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills.
