The only on-demand design service from an Architectural Digest AD100 firm, our capabilities include custom wall and window treatments, lighting, art, and home décor. Clients have exclusive access to our private collection of vintage and designer furnishings which includes one-of-a-kind pieces from the likes of Charlotte Perriand, Gio Ponti, Kelly Wearstler, Børge Mogensen, Mario Botta, and other renowned designers. Our services are available nationally to clients in most major metropolitan areas as well as resort communities. We have completed projects in New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut, the Hamptons, Boston, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, San Francisco and Seattle.

Room Service is a full-suite furnishing and decoration firm. We partner with a range of clients - from hotels to restaurants, universities, healthcare institutions, and residential developments - to provide efficient and prestigious interior furnishing and decoration services, delivering top-tier, standout FF&E. We provide the full scope of services, from initial conception to total project completion.

Summary
The Designer is a creative and detail-oriented professional who ensures the company’s aesthetic standards are consistently upheld throughout the design process of projects. The Designer will be responsible for conducting in-depth site surveys, developing space plans, and translating initial design concepts into curated environments that align with project objectives. Key tasks include selecting furniture, art, and decor, as well as sourcing materials and collaborating with internal teams, including warehouse and installation, to bring designs to life. The Designer will also maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and deliver high-quality results.
Position Requirements
Manage the production of furniture, art, and accessory plans based on guidelines set by the Director of Design
Utilize strong client presentation skills to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions
Work independently, exercising sound judgment while knowing when to seek feedback or approval.
Act with confidence in decision making, with respect to fast-paced timelines across multiple projects
Create and manage the digital drawing set for all space planning purposes
Conduct in-depth site surveys of Active Projects to record the necessary conditions for executing a full design concept, with assistance from Junior Designers as needed
Select proposed pieces either from the company’s warehouse, or via new purchases, for furniture, art, and accessory selection for Senior Designer review and approval, subject also to Director of Design and/or Senior Director of Project comments
