Instructional Designer
Job Description
Ulteig is seeking a creative, collaborative, and forward‑thinking Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development team. In this fully remote role, you’ll shape modern, blended learning experiences that fuel our FutureReady Workforce—designing training that equips employees with the skills and confidence they need to excel. Your work will scale across the enterprise, influencing our learning library, driving performance, and helping teams bring Ulteig’s mission to life.
What You'll Do
Design Modern Learning Solutions
Develop engaging learning experiences including eLearning, instructor‑led training, videos, webinars, and blended programs that elevate workforce capability and performance
Create leader guides, participant materials, assessments, job aids, and other assets that support knowledge retention and application
Build storyboards, scripts, and curriculum outlines with clear learning objectives, content flow, timelines, and learner impact expectations
Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles to consistently produce high‑quality learning experiences
Manage & Continuously Improve Learning Content
Maintain, update, and enhance Ulteig’s learning library—including eLearning modules, video presentations, templates, and supporting resources
Document design methods, templates, and standards to ensure consistency and repeatable quality across L&D outputs
Analyze existing training programs using evaluation methods (including Kirkpatrick levels) to assess effectiveness and recommend improvement opportunities
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts & Stakeholders
Work closely with internal SMEs to gather content, validate accuracy, and ensure training reflects current business needs and industry relevance
Partner with trainers and facilitators, offering guidance on design, delivery, and optimal use of learning materials
Stay informed on Ulteig’s business lines, products, and services to ensure learning solutions support organizational priorities
Lead Projects & Manage Workflow
Manage multiple development projects simultaneously, delivering high‑quality work within scope, timelines, and budget expectations
Contribute to smaller‑scale instructional design tasks and support larger initiatives through research, content preparation, and design support
Leverage Technology & Innovation
Use authoring and creative tools (Articulate 360, PowToon, Clipchamp, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, etc.) to develop interactive and engaging content
Support LMS content setup and maintenance, ensuring SCORM‑compliant publishing and an intuitive learner experience
Apply creativity and design thinking to generate innovative approaches that increase engagement and improve learning outcomes
What We Expect from You
Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, business, or related field, or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of instructional design principles, including ADDIE, SAM, adult learning theory, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Kirkpatrick evaluation methods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze learning needs, evaluate program outcomes, and translate insights into improvements
Creative thinking and problem‑solving skills to conceptualize engaging learning strategies
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high‑quality work on time
Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, and Copilot
Exposure to common instructional design and media development tools such as Articulate 360, PowToon, Clipchamp, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Camtasia
Familiarity with LMS platforms and SCORM standards
Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement
