We're seeking a motivated person to join our team and make a real impact. Insolvency Officer is an entry level position that can start your career off in insolvency or other roles in government, law or accounting.

As an Insolvency Officer you'll play a crucial role in administering company liquidations and personal bankruptcies to identify and sell assets, obtain and investigate financial records and recover funds for creditors. We often need to visit insolvent businesses and determine if they need to be shut down and what will happen to the assets.

Skills and Experience Required

Manage case administration from initial allocation to completion
Complete investigations by interviewing people and reviewing records
Identify and manage assets through to them being sold
Maintain accurate records in our database and ensure compliance with quality standards
Liaise with government organisations, stakeholders and internal teams to achieve optimal outcomes
No experience is required as full training is given on the job
Excellent written and communication skills and can effectively interact with people in vulnerable situations with empathy and compassion
Strong attention to detail and can analyse information objectively
Be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Someone who is able to think on their feet and comfortable making decisions in dynamic situations
Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
