Position Summary
The Infant & Toddler Teacher is responsible for providing exceptional care while creating a warm, safe, and stimulating learning environment for infants and toddlers. This position focuses on building secure relationships, supporting developmental milestones, and implementing age-appropriate activities that encourage cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional growth.
The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, dependable, and passionate about helping young children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
ResponsibilitiesClassroom Care & Learning
Create a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early learning and development.
Encourage language development, sensory exploration, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional growth through play and daily interactions.
Follow each child's individualized daily schedule, including feeding, diapering, naps, and developmental routines.
Build strong, responsive relationships with each child through nurturing care and positive interactions.
Supervision & Safety
Provide active supervision of infants and toddlers at all times.
Ensure children's safety during indoor and outdoor activities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment.
Follow all center policies, health and safety procedures, and Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards.
Maintain required classroom ratios and supervision standards.
Child Development & Family Communication
Observe and support each child's developmental milestones.
Maintain daily communication with families regarding meals, diapers, naps, activities, and accomplishments.
Encourage positive social-emotional development through gentle guidance and responsive caregiving.
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and administration to provide high-quality care.
Daily Care Responsibilities
Feed infants and toddlers according to individual schedules.
Diaper and assist with potty training as appropriate.
Support healthy sleep routines and comfort children during transitions.
Clean and sanitize toys, bottles, feeding equipment, and classroom materials throughout the day.
Assist with maintaining an organized and welcoming classroom.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
Must be dependable, patient, nurturing, and professional.
Ability to work well with children, families, and fellow team members.
Must successfully pass all required background checks.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.

Compensation & Benefits
$11-$13.00, based on experience and qualifications
