POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the part-time (.50 FTE) permanent position of Industrial Arts Teacher effective September 2, 2025. We are seeking an educator who has a passion for teaching in a woodworking environment. The individual needs to have excellent relational skills, the ability to take ownership over their work, and a strong sense of how to create a culture of safety in the shop.


REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
Previous Industrial Arts teaching/industry experience preferred
A sound knowledge of provincial Industrial Arts curriculum
Strong classroom management skills
A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check Child Abuse Registry Check
The above represents general core qualifications for the position and may vary as necessary to the operations of the school/program.

Garden Valley School Division is a dynamic school division located in the heartland of Manitoba's beautiful Pembina Valley Region. The division has a student population of about 4,300 and we have 14 schools in the communities of Winkler, Plum Coulee, Schanzenfeld, Hochfeld, Blumenfeld, Reinland and Blumengart.
