Overview
The Start-up and Incubation Incharge will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation at Poddar Group of Institutions. This role involves managing the institution's incubation center, providing mentorship to start-ups, connecting students and faculty with resources, and establishing partnerships with industry players to facilitate the growth of new ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

Incubation Center Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the incubation center, ensuring smooth functioning.
Curate and manage the selection process for start-ups and early-stage ventures seeking incubation support.
Develop a comprehensive incubation program that includes mentoring, networking, and access to funding and resources.
Create an environment conducive to creativity, innovation, and collaboration within the incubator.
Mentorship Guidance:
Provide strategic advice, mentorship, and coaching to entrepreneurs, start-up teams, and student ventures.
Help start-ups with business model development, market research, product development, and pitching to investors.
Offer support in developing go-to-market strategies, building scalable business models, and refining product-market fit.
Partnerships Networking:
Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, investors, mentors, and other stakeholders.
Organize networking events, workshops, and seminars to connect start-ups with potential investors, partners, and customers.
Act as a liaison between the institution, alumni, start-up ecosystem, and local and international business communities.
Fundraising Investment:
Assist start-ups in identifying funding opportunities, including venture capital, angel investors, grants, and government schemes.
Facilitate connections between start-ups and potential investors or funding bodies.
Organize pitch events and demos to showcase start-up ventures to a wider audience of investors and industry experts.
Program Development Implementation:
Design and implement programs that support start-up growth, such as accelerator programs, hackathons, and innovation challenges.
Ensure that entrepreneurs and start-ups have access to all necessary resources, including legal, financial, and technical expertise.
Monitor the progress of incubated ventures and provide regular feedback to help them scale.
Research Strategic Planning:
Stay up-to-date on trends in the start-up ecosystem, including new technologies, industry shifts, and emerging business models.
Analyze the performance of incubated start-ups and refine strategies for better impact and growth.
Develop and manage annual budgets and financial plans for the incubation center.
Team Management Development:
Lead a team of professionals who provide administrative, operational, and technical support to start-ups.
Hire, train, and mentor staff and volunteers to assist with the incubation activities.
Encourage and foster a collaborative, innovative work culture within the team.
Reporting Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of start-up progress, investments, achievements, and any other key metrics.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, investors, and other stakeholders.
Track and report on KPIs related to start-up growth, incubation success, and community engagement.
Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in start-up incubation, entrepreneurship, venture capital, or related areas.
Skills:
Strong understanding of the start-up ecosystem and business development processes.
Experience with managing early-stage start-ups, including guiding them through growth challenges.
Ability to establish and nurture partnerships with external stakeholders, including investors, industry leaders, and academia.
Excellent mentoring, leadership, and communication skills.
Knowledge of fundraising mechanisms and investor engagement.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Preferred:

Proven track record of launching and growing start-ups or incubation centers.
Familiarity with innovation and entrepreneurial resources at a national and international level.
Prior experience in an academic or institutional setting, particularly in managing incubators or innovation labs.
Personal Attributes:
