In-Store Sales Representative – Building Supplies Peakhurst
About us: Join a long-standing, third-generation Sydney family business supporting the building and construction industry since 1960. At Hardware & General, you’ll be part of a trusted supplier known for technical expertise, strong industry knowledge, and exceptional customer service across a wide range of building products.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Helping customers choose the right products and solutions
Processing sales through POS systems
Preparing, following up, and closing customer quotes
Assisting with stock handling, dispatch, and receiving goods
Keeping the store organised, safe, and presentable
Supporting stock control and supplier communication
Working toward sales targets as part of a team
Learning product knowledge through ongoing training
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in retail, customer service, or the building trade industry
Strong communication and customer service skills
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Willingness to learn product knowledge (training provided)
Physically capable of handling stock and being on your feet
Australian working rights
