Role Description The In-house Lawyer will provide legal support across the organization, ensuring that European Travel Group operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the travel and hospitality sectors. This full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers, hotels, airlines, and other partners.
The role involves advising on corporate and commercial matters, data protection, consumer rights, employment-related issues, and dispute resolution. The In-house Lawyer will collaborate with management and operational teams to assess legal risks, develop policies, and support strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities also include managing external counsel where needed, maintaining legal documentation, and contributing to the development of compliant, customer-focused products and services.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial law, with experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating service agreements and vendor contracts.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to travel, tourism, consumer protection, and data privacy, preferably within the Indian and international context.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues, assess risk, and provide clear, practical advice to non-legal stakeholders.
• Experience in corporate legal work, including policy development, compliance oversight, and support for HR and employment matters.
• Excellent legal writing, documentation, and research skills, with attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• LLB or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution; enrollment with a recognized Bar Council is preferred.
• Prior in-house experience in travel, hospitality, aviation, or a related service industry is an advantage.
• Proficiency with standard office software and comfort working with digital tools and document management systems.
• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
