The Opportunity
We are seeking an HR Operations & Payroll Coordinator who is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations and payroll administration across the employee lifecycle. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintains HR records and systems, and supports recruitment, onboarding, and employee programs. The position works closely with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure compliance, consistency, and a high-quality employee experience.
This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Your Contributions To Our firm
As the HR Operations & Payroll Coordinator, you will:
Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and documentation in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Support with payroll processing by preparing and validating employee data, tracking changes, and supporting year-end payroll reconciliation.
Maintain and track employee time-off records, ensuring accuracy and alignment with payroll processing.
Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and responding to routine employee inquiries.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes with internal team, ensuring timely completion of documentation, system access, training, and recovery of company assets.
Support employee relations matters by coordinating documentation, tracking attendance, and escalating issues as appropriate.Support performance management administration, including tracking review cycles and maintaining documentation.
Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including role postings, candidate coordination, interview logistics, offer letters, and campus/co-op recruitment initiatives.
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and administrative processes.
Required Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in an HR and/or payroll support role.
Completed or enrolled into PCP, considered an asset.
Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Payworks or similar).
Working knowledge of employment standards and HR practices.
Strong administrative and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
