Job Overview
At InterContinental Hotels Group, we are seeking an experienced Steward Team Leader to join our team at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort in Australia.
This part-time position will provide the ideal candidate with a unique opportunity to support the Food and Beverage operation of the resort while developing their leadership skills.
About You
Demonstrated communication skills to interact with employees and third parties that reflect the high standard of the hotel and the IHG brand.
Time management skills, delegation, a drive for results, and strong employee engagement skills.
Neat personal presentation.
Able to read and write basic English.
Flexibility - mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays are all part of the job.
The Role
In this role, you will report to the Chief Steward and be responsible for:
Supervising and training stewarding department colleagues while on shift.
Maintaining the consumption of all stewarding chemicals while on shift.
Supervising the sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene, as well as the quality level of product and services, to ensure brand standards and HACCP requirements are maintained.
Ensuring that all stewarding colleagues follow safety instructions while cleaning machinery.
Conducting regular checks to ensure that service and kitchen operating equipment is properly cleaned.
