Shuttering Carpenter
A Shuttering Carpenter is accountable for constructing, assembling, and disassembling formwork (shuttering) utilized in concrete construction.
Responsibilities:
Interpret construction blueprints and technical specifications.
Determine formwork dimensions and necessary materials.
Fabricate, shape, and construct timber, plywood, or metal formwork.
Install and secure formwork in the appropriate positions.
Utilize spirit levels, plumb bobs, and measuring tapes to guarantee precision.
Ensure the formwork is robust enough to support wet concrete.
Collaborate with steel fixers and masons during concrete pouring.
Safely remove shuttering without causing damage to the concrete.
Adhere to site safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and boots.
Ensure that structures comply with quality and safety standards.
Requirements
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
