The Health Centre Manager based at Mt Eden Corrections Facility in Auckland is a pivotal role within our leadership team, tasked with guiding, supporting the operational and assurance goals of the service.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated people leader to lead our health centre team of clinical and non-clinical staff at Mt Eden Corrections Facility.
We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic leader to drive our health centre team, clinical and non-clinical staff toward excellence in delivering quality healthcare.
You will be both operationally focused and driven to engage and enhance your team as a leader, with overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations, clinical governance activities, and quality and resource management of our health services. The wider team deal with a broad range of health assessment and treatment, respond to emergencies and undertake health education for people under the care and management of MECF.
Working collaboratively with Doctors, Allied Health professionals, external agencies, your wider Pae Ora team and other Corrections staff, you will promote a philosophy of care within the prison which ensures the delivery of quality health services and Wahine centred care, therefore the ability to form and sustain relationships is vital in this role.

Be a Registered Nurse with a current NZ practising certificate and post-graduate clinical experience in a range of settings.

Has well developed leadership and operational management skills.
Demonstrates business acumen within a health care setting.
Thrives on working in a complex and challenging environment.

Experience, qualifications, and registration in New Zealand are highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates who have proven experience working within the New Zealand healthcare system, hold relevant New Zealand qualifications, and are currently registered with the appropriate regulatory bodies. This will ensure a smoother integration into our workforce and a deeper understanding of the local context and standards of care.
