Health Care Aide

Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking health care aides to join our Home Services department! Health care aides provide in-home support to seniors and individuals who need assistance completing activities of daily living.

We offer:

a flexible work week to support life-work balance,
a discounted cell phone plan,
a comprehensive, cost-shared health dental benefits package,
paid sick time and paid personal time, and
a welcoming, inclusive work environment where people thrive.
Health care aides:

provide personal care and support to clients in client homes according to the service plan,
monitor and accurately record and report on the status of clients,
complete appropriate charting in the Alayacare mobile app,
participate in quality improvement activities,
recommend changes to service plans as client needs change,
attend in-services, workshops, and training sessions as required, and
use appropriate safety measures including universal precautions and infection control procedures.
Required skills and qualifications:

must be at least 18 years old,
must have completed a health care aide certificate program that meets the provincial standard,
must be currently registered with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory,
must be able to provide care in accordance with legislation, care plans, and training, and
must have a valid driver’s license, with current registration and insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
All new employees of LFS must provide a police information check and vulnerable sector check dated not less than +0 days prior to the date of hire.

Hours: regular Hourly and Casual work available, must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends

Location: Pincher Creek, AB

Start date: As soon as possible
