Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a group home setting. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities through personalized care and assistance.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to nursing staff.
Support clients with dementia care by employing effective communication techniques and engaging them in meaningful activities.
Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving or health care roles is preferred, especially in care settings.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols is an asset.
Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and provide compassionate support.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with clients, families, and team members.
Certification as a Health Care Aide and care aide registry number required.
Willingness to undergo background checks as required by facility policies.
Physical capability to perform tasks that may include lifting or assisting clients with mobility needs.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $27.+2-$2+.60 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 – 37.5 per week
