Summary
The Sales Leader will lead commercial activities across the assigned territory, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic customer engagement. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing regional business plans, strengthening customer relationships, identifying new revenue streams, and building a results-oriented sales organization focused on long-term profitability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute regional commercial strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities across products, services, and aftermarket solutions within target markets.
• Expand market share through customer acquisition, key account development, and strategic partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, and channel partners.
• Lead contract negotiations and oversee the development of competitive commercial proposals.
• Drive business development efforts from opportunity identification through project award.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer demands to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage sales forecasting, pipeline development, and performance reporting to ensure achievement of financial goals.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, project management, and service teams to align commercial commitments with execution capabilities.
• Champion customer satisfaction and support long-term account growth initiatives.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing regional sales team.
• Establish performance metrics and accountability standards to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial practices, and risk management procedures.
• Serve as a key contributor to regional business planning and overall commercial strategy.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive commercial experience, including leadership responsibility within industrial equipment, energy, infrastructure, or engineered solutions markets.
• Demonstrated success growing revenue and profitability within complex, project-based or technical sales environments.
• Strong background in business development, strategic account management, and commercial execution.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed sales teams and operating effectively within matrix organizations.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and close large-scale opportunities.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing forecasts, budgets, and sales performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience within power generation, renewable energy, utilities, heavy industrial, or related sectors preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required to support customers and business growth initiatives.
