The Head of Global Recruitment at Alvis Pathway is responsible for leading and executing the organisation’s global student recruitment strategy, driving sustainable growth across key international markets. This role oversees all regional marketing and recruitment teams, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and delivering high-quality student pipelines into Alvis Pathway programmes and partner institutions.
Working closely with senior leadership, the role shapes market entry strategies, builds and manages strategic partnerships with agents and education organisations, and ensures a data-driven approach to recruitment planning and performance. The Head of Global Recruitment is also accountable for brand positioning, marketing effectiveness, and the development of scalable recruitment models that support the organisation’s mission to widen access to international education.
The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of global student mobility trends, with a particular focus on emerging markets and transnational education pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing
Develop and oversee global marketing strategy aligned with recruitment targets and priority markets
Ensure consistent brand positioning across all channels, with a focus on accessibility and progression outcomes
Lead digital campaigns, content strategy, and localisation for key regions
Collaborate with partners and agents on co-branded marketing initiatives
Serve as official liaison with NCUK’s marketing team.
Global Recruitment
Design and implement a global student recruitment strategy across priority regions
Manage and support regional recruitment and marketing managers
Build and maintain high-performing agent networks and institutional partnerships
Drive student pipeline from enquiry to enrolment across pathway programmes
Performance Management & Growth
Set recruitment targets by market, channel, and region
Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions where needed
Identify and develop new markets and growth opportunities
Scale successful recruitment models across regions
Intelligence & Reporting
Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and student demand to inform strategy
Oversee CRM data quality and reporting accuracy
Produce regular performance reports for senior leadership
Use data insights to optimise campaigns and recruitment channels
Commercial & Revenue Targets
Own global recruitment revenue targets and forecasting
Manage budgets across marketing and recruitment activities
Optimise return on investment across channels and markets
Support pricing and scholarship strategies to maximise conversion
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with partner, regulatory, and visa requirements across markets
Oversee agent due diligence, contracts, and ethical recruitment practices
Manage risk related to market dependency, compliance, and delivery partners
Maintain alignment with quality assurance standards (e.g. pathway providers, UK progression requirements)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree (e.g. International Education, Business, Marketing) preferred
Relevant professional certifications (highly desirable), e.g. marketing, leadership, or data/analytics
Experience
10+ years of experience in international student recruitment, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
Proven track record of delivering global recruitment growth across multiple markets (e.g. LATAM, MENA, Asia, etc.)
Experience managing regional teams and/or global recruitment functions
Strong background working with education agents and international partners
Demonstrated experience in pathway programmes, foundation/diploma delivery, or transnational education models (highly desirable)
Successful management of remote teams
Technical & Functional Expertise
Deep understanding of global student mobility trends and key source markets
Experience with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) and data-driven recruitment
Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels (lead generation, conversion funnels, campaign optimisation)
Familiarity with UK and international admissions processes, visa requirements, and compliance frameworks
Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, pricing, and revenue targets

Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g. Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin) highly desirable
Willingness to travel internationally as required
