Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and academically accomplished Head of Department (HoD) – Law to lead and shape the School of Law at Lords University. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the academic, administrative, and strategic growth of the department, ensuring excellence in teaching, research, and student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide academic leadership and vision for the Department of Law in alignment with the university's strategic goals.
• Design and implement an innovative curriculum that integrates contemporary legal developments and professional skills.
• Foster a research-oriented culture by encouraging faculty and students to engage in high-impact legal research and publications.
• Oversee faculty recruitment, mentoring, and development.
• Ensure compliance with BCI (Bar Council of India) norms and other relevant legal education regulations.
• Collaborate with industry, judiciary, legal practitioners, and law firms to create experiential learning opportunities such as internships, moot courts, and workshops.
• Spearhead accreditations, audits, and collaborations with national and international legal institutions.
• Maintain high standards of student discipline, performance, and academic integrity.
• Represent the department in university-level committees and contribute to institutional growth.
Qualifications Experience
• Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university (mandatory).
• At least 8-10 years of teaching and academic administration experience in a reputed law school or university.
• Strong publication record in UGC/Scopus-indexed journals.
• Demonstrated leadership in legal academia, curriculum development, and faculty management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
