This is more than a compliance role. It’s your opportunity to reshape processes, unlock efficiencies, and elevate the strategic value of tax across the business.

The Role

Lead with impact: Oversee the completion and submission of all UK (and some overseas) corporate tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate delivery;
Inspire and manage: Lead a talented team across Edinburgh, Birmingham, and London, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration;
Transform and innovate: Partner with our Senior Manager for Tax Technology to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance controls;
Advise and influence: Working alongside the Deputy Group Tax Director to deliver high quality advice to the business in a commercial context;
Deliver value: Free up capacity to focus on high-impact, value-added tax insights that support business growth.
What We’re Looking For

A dynamic leader with a proven track record in UK corporate tax compliance and deep knowledge of UK life company taxation.
A strategic thinker who thrives on improving processes and leveraging technology to drive efficiency.
A people-first manager who can motivate, develop, and inspire teams to deliver their best work.
Solid experience of the taxation of life companies, together with an in depth knowledge of corporation tax.
Tax or accounting professional qualification (eg ACA/CTA or equivalent)

A collaborative influencer who can build strong relationships across finance, data, and business teams.
A tech-savvy professional with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation in the compliance space. Read more
