Job Description
Role- Hardware Test Engineer
Location– Pune
Experience- 3-7 years
Must Have Skills-
Responsibilities:
Understand the Products and its hardware specifications specially Electronics, PCB
(Architecture, components, material, Etc.) and IOT/Firmware/Software interface) thoroughly
from Designers, Product owner and CFT team. Active participation in DFMEA, PFMEA & provide
inputs for design and process improvement. Must have knowledge of reading PCB architecture,
layout, and connection diagram
• Define Test Planning & Schedule Estimation, Testing Resource planning & Allocation, Test Case
Preparation with Test condition & defining acceptance criteria as per Test
Standard/Drawing/Engineering Documents considering functional, Safety, Fitments,
Environment etc. Requirements, Test Case Generation & Execution for Hardware & interface
systems. Test suite preparation and Preparation of Hardware SOR documents. Define number of
samples with logic for various test cases.
• Issue test report to stake holders, conduct testing review meetings with stake holders & CFT,
Conduct DVP as per project timeline, coordinate with test executives to conduct test, provide
them training and guidance. Working with PLM & OrCAD will be an added advantage.
• Test data analysis, Troubleshooting Field / Internal Testing failure. Understanding of root cause
analysis tools 7QC tools, 8D, FTA,5W2H etc., Defect management, Test Data management
• Generate ideas for test automation, test monitoring, test data acquisition and develop
instrumentation to improve testing and data acquisition capability, Guiding & providing trainings
to Technicians for testing, data monitoring, and report preparation.
• Benchmarking competitor products for performance and durability. Understanding of
Regulatory & Compliance requirements.
• Design and develop new methodologies for Accelerated life testing for reliability of electronics
and other components. Must understand ROHS requirement for Hardware.
