The Arlo Hardware team is seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager. You should have at least 10 years’ experience in hardware design of consumer products. You are a self-starter and able to get advanced engineering projects done and dig into any technical issue and drive resolution, working with other teams as needed. You have experience working with and managing external design partners.
Tasks :
· Drive architecture design, working with component vendors, design partners (ODM), and internal engineering resources.
· Create product-level technical specifications (performance, function) for design partners
· Review hardware design (schematics, PCB layout) in detail
· Review design partner’s hardware engineering validation plans and test results, provide feedback.
· Drive creation of internal hardware engineering validation plans, drive test execution, review results
· Drive resolution of issues in a timely manner, digging into details as far as necessary.
· Review ODM factory test plans, test results, and participate in yield improvement efforts during product ramp. Visit ODM factory overseas as needed.
· Work with other internal teams such as Mechanical Design, Firmware, and others during architecture phase and later on to ensure proper project execution.
· Oversee the work of internal Hardware Engineers, some may be direct reports, some dotted line reports. Train and mentor team members
· Position is on-site (non-remote)
· International travel required.
