We handle a diverse range of projects, from residential remodels to deck builds and general property upgrades. As our project load increases, we are looking for an experienced, versatile Handyman/Carpenter who can not only execute top-tier work but also step up as a Team Leader for our growing crew.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled trade professional with a strong background in both rough/finish carpentry and general handyman applications. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded "jack-of-all-trades" who can read plans, problem-solve on the fly, and effectively communicate with clients and team members. This position offers excellent growth potential as you will help lead and mentor our field crew.
Key Responsibilities
Carpentry & Framing: Execute both rough and finish carpentry applications, including wood framing, trim work, and detailed finishings.
Drywall & Painting: Handle drywall installation, patching, taping, mudding, finishing, and minor painting tasks to ensure a seamless finish.
Decking: Build, repair, and install residential decks from start to finish.
Handyman Services (Retrofit Only): Perform basic electrical and plumbing tasks, specifically replacing existing light fixtures, outlets, switches, and minor plumbing fixtures (no new rough-in work required).
Leadership & Execution: Read and interpret construction plans/blueprints, manage job site flow, and guide/mentor junior crew members to keep projects on schedule and up to quality standards.
Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, management, and the crew.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Proven experience in rough/finish carpentry, drywall, and general handyman work.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction plans/blueprints accurately.
Handyman Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic residential electrical and plumbing (retrofit applications only).
Leadership: Strong leadership potential or past experience leading a crew; excellent communication and organizational skills.
Tools & Transport: Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation (truck/van preferred), and your own standard hand/power tools.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and handle the physical demands of daily construction labor.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
