Guest service associates are the face of a company They interact with customers on a daily basis providing information about products and services answering questions resolving issues and generally doing whatever they can to make sure that guests have a positive experience while interacting with the business Guest service associates may work in any number of industries but theyre commonly found in the hospitality industry This includes hotels resorts cruise ships etc In these settings guest service associates might be responsible for everything from checking guests into their rooms to helping them with luggage or other items when they arrive Guest Service Associate Job Duties Guest service associates typically have a wide range of responsibilities which can include Performing front desk receptionist tasks such as checking in guests answering phone calls and processing payments for services Providing information about local events activities and attractions Providing concierge services such as arranging for transportation and accommodations for guests as needed Responding to guest inquiries about facilities services or activities available at the hotel Helping guests with special requests such as arranging for golf outings or massages Ensuring that guests rooms are clean and ready for occupancy at all times Providing information about checkin procedures including confirming reservations and providing room keys Providing information about checkout procedures including settling accounts and issuing refunds Performing clerical tasks such as answering phones and greeting guests in person or via telephone or email
