Role Description
Commercial Banking Tribe :
You’ll be joining the Commercial Bank Tribe, who is focusing on the special needs of the small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, a designated area for further growth and investment within Corporate Bank.
We are responsible for the digital transformation of ~800.000 clients in 3 brands, i.e. the establishment of the BizBanking platform including development of digital sales and service processes as well as the automation of processes for this client segment.
Our tribe is on a journey of an extensive digitalisation of business processes and to migrate our applications to the cloud. On that we are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup and collaborating closely with stakeholders and engineers from other areas thriving to achieve a highly automated and adoptable process and application landscape.
Responsible to provide fast and reliable data solutions for warehousing, reporting, Customer- and Business Intelligence solutions. Loading data from various systems of record into our platform and make them available for further use. Automate deployment and test processes to deliver fast incremental improvements of our application and platform. Implement data governance and protection to adhere regulatory requirements and policies. Transform and combine data into a data model which supporting our data analysts or can easily consumed by operational databases. Maintain hygiene, Risk and Control and Stability at to core to every delivery. Be a role model for the team. Work in an agile setup, helping with feedback to improve our way of working.

Your key responsibilities
You will partner with Service/Backend Engineers to integrate data provided by legacy IT solutions into your designed database and make it accessible to the services consuming those data. You will focus on the design and setup of databases, data models, data transformations (ETL), critical Online banking business processes in the context Customer Intelligence, Financial Reporting and performance controlling. You will use your experience and know-how to ensure that your solutions are highly scalable and can be operated flawlessly under very high load scenarios. Together with your team, you will run and develop your application self-sufficiently. You'll collaborate with Product Owners as well as the team members regarding design and implementation of data analytics solutions and act as support during the conception of products and solutions.
Your skills and experience
University degree with technological or scientific focus or equivalent working experience. 8+ years of experience and expert knowledge (also practical) of mathematical models / statistics, database systems and database structures; at least experience to work with two of the following database technologies: Relational, Document, Key-Value. Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies like Google BigQuery, etc. including automation knowledge with Terraform, Ansible, or Helm. Strong professional experience and expert knowledge (also practical) in working with (large-scale) structured, unstructured data and common data structures. Hands one experience with message systems like Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ including monitoring and tuning. Proficient in design principles of ETL and implementing ETL processes with tools like Apache Airflow and good programming skills in languages like Python, or Java. You are good team player with a passion for technology and engineering and can communicate fluently in English.
