Job description
This leadership role is responsible for driving strategic sales efforts across both St Laurn properties—St Laurn Koregaon Park, Pune and St Laurn - The Spiritual Resort, Shirdi. Based at the corporate head office in Pune, the position involves proactively identifying, soliciting, and securing business opportunities, while ensuring a seamless handover for operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will be adept at cultivating long-term, value-driven client relationships and will take ownership of individual and property-level revenue goals. A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution is vital for success.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
· A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
· Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales Marketing within the hospitality sector or a related professional area, with a proven record of revenue generation and client acquisition.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
1. Building Strategic Relationships to Drive Sales
· Collaborates with off-site sales teams to align efforts and avoid overlap.
· Proactively nurtures existing client relationships and develops new connections through sales visits, networking events, FAM trips, trade shows, and hospitality events.
· Establishes strong presence within the local and regional business community to expand the customer base.
· Maintains open, value-driven relationships with key stakeholders—both internal and external.
· Facilitates timely and accurate handovers to the operations and event execution teams.
2. Leading Sales Operations
· Conducts joint sales calls with team members to close key opportunities.
· Manages end-to-end booking processes: from lead qualification and proposal generation to contract negotiation and client communication.
· Maintains up-to-date records of client interactions and ensures follow-through on all commitments.
3. Applying Market Intelligence and Customer Insights
· Identifies emerging market trends and competitive positioning to inform strategy.
· Targets the most viable opportunities based on current demand, seasonal trends, and property-specific strengths.
· Builds a deep understanding of the needs and expectations of core customer segments to tailor sales approaches accordingly.
4. Ensuring High Standards of Client Service
· Champions a service-driven sales culture aligned with the brand’s values.
· Cultivates long-term loyalty through consistency, reliability, and responsiveness in client interactions.
· Upholds service excellence standards throughout the client lifecycle.
· Acts as a brand ambassador, setting an example for all guest-facing interactions.
· Collects and analyses client feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
