Graduate Associate UX Designer
Job Description
You will work under the direction of the UX Design Lead, conducting end-to-end research activities—from initial discovery through to feature validation—ensuring research insights directly inform product development and design decisions.
Key accountabilities:
End-to-End User Experience:
Support end-to-end research initiatives, contributing to discovery, concept testing, and feature validation.
Assist in analysing and synthesising research findings into clear outputs that support product and design decisions.
Conduct benchmarking of renewable competitors and market trends to identify opportunities and support business cases.
Help maintain and update user repositories, including user needs statements and centralised customer insights.
Translate discovery findings into user needs, problem statements, and opportunity areas with guidance from senior team members.
Support product teams in validating early product concepts and value propositions through desk research and user feedback.
Contribute to light-touch customer segmentation work to inform strateg
Knowledge
Degree in Design, Psychology, Business, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field is desirable
Knowledge in renewables is a must
High level understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies across discovery, evaluative, and validation phases
Knowledge of product development processes and how research integrates throughout the product lifecycle
Previous experience within B2B environments, preferably SaaS or industrial/enterprise software
Skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams including product management and engineering
Excellent storytelling skills to communicate user needs and design rationale to stakeholders
Ability to translate complex technical concepts and adapt communication style for different audiences
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and process
Ability to create wireframes from the design system that are based on user needs/requirements
Experience
1 year experience in a product environment
Experience with design & prototype tools and platforms (e.g., Figma, Miro)
Experience working collaboratively with product managers, designers, and engineers throughout the product development cycle
Experience with agile or lean product development methodologies
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative research capacity
Qualifications
