Position Purpose

Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will have following responsibilities:
• Develop a good understanding of the existing applications (functional)
• Take part in the discussions with our various business, to formalize business needs and guide them to the most adequate technical and functional solutions
• Work with business analysts/users to understand requirements & help the IT team to develop good quality deliverables.
• Prepare BRD's based on the user needs & make sure document is detailed.
• Write user stories (agile business needs) in collaboration with business
• Regularly review technical and functional backlogs
• Make sure the team treats in priority the requests with the highest business value while making sure the platform is stable (obsolescence management, cybersecurity, coherent technical and functional architecture)
• Insure knowledge transfer to developers and testers before implementation
• Help/support/follow up with developers and testers during the development phase and alert on any issue/risk in time
• Help the developer to reduce defects in IST/ UAT/production. Quality Focus is high.
• Contribute to production support, mainly for complex functional topics (L3 support)
• Ensures deliverables created as per Quality Management practices followed by the company, or as outlined for the project/release.
• Identify risks and provide mitigation plan. Escalate issues on timely manner to the leads.
• Work Autonomously by taking ownership
• Maintain very good working environment, Team spirit and Knowledge Sharing.
• To have a strong Customer Focus in order to provide a professional support service to both internal and external client.
• Gain application, business, functional and technical knowledge.
• Take part in user training or conduct user training for new developments

• Communicate ideas and develop strategy through presentations, demonstrations and specifications, supports and develops team members by providing guidance, coaching and knowledge sharing
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Experience: 5 to 8 years
Skills:
• Business Analyst – Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Collateral Management
• Exposure on Accounting, Risk, Settlements and Pricing experience
• Test Management tools - HP ALM QC, JIRA
• Sybase SQL (Mid-level)
Specific Qualifications (if required)
Hands-On FUNDS Financing Activity and Mutual Fund Trading Activity would be ideal profile for this position
