About the Position
The Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Alabama is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to fill a renewable contract assistant professor position. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate geoscience courses at various levels, including lower-division courses for both majors and non-majors, as well as upper-division courses in your area of expertise.

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with a Ph.D. in Geology or a related field who can contribute to the academic excellence of our department. Your primary responsibilities will include teaching, service, and research contributions. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse student body and contribute to the development of innovative teaching methodologies. In addition, you will serve on department committees, spearhead undergraduate recruitment, and carry out research related to your field of interest.
