General Maintenance performs various tasks that involve the general maintenance and repairing of the building, facilities, and equipment. Performs related duties assigned or upon request by supervisor, customer, and/or others.
· Arrive to work on time and in necessary work attire
· Must perform tasks like the repairing of various equipment’s and materials, replacement of electronics, cleaning or wiring work
· Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures
· Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment
· Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces seals and other minor parts; repairs, replaces and maintains hot water heaters and other appliances
· Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
· Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
· Solving guest complaints on time
· Refurbishing of chairs, tables, doors, windows and counters in order to keep it maintained for a long time
· Assist in any moving of furniture to guest rooms
· Completing maintenance requests when there needs to be a repair, carpet cleaning or a replacement of a light in a room
· To have good interpersonal skills with varying customers, collogues, and superiors
· Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas
· Operate and maintain snow blowers, and sidewalk sweeper
· Be able to work in a fast paced environment
· Be able to lift over 50 lbs
