• JOB PURPOSE
• Assist the Engineering Executive in maintenance and operations of all the general utility equipment.
• Maintain quality of work in order to meet the standards.
• To control and check all the equipment.
• Ensure to work according to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
• Ensure to handle and maintain all equipments properly.
• Any matter which may affect the interests of hotels should be brought to the attention of the Management.
• To abide by the mission statement of the Company and of the department
• EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES EMPOWERMENT
• Responsible for maintaining and operations of all the general utility equipment and defect free as per standards.
• Empowered to give service, assist guests, and interact with guests and internal customers for trouble free operations of the equipment.
• KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial:-
• Maintains the par stock required at the stores.
• Helping Engineering Executive to make store requisition.
• Ensure to keep and render accounts of all materials used.
• Identify optimal, cost effective use of the resources.
Operational:-
• Maintain all the general utility equipment as per the specified standards.
• Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Is responsible for operation and maintenance of laundry and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain all tools and equipment as required.
• Assist other departmental personnel as necessary.
• Ensure to complete all the tasks assigned in an effective and efficient manner.
• Complete the necessary reports, work orders, etc. as required.
• Ensure to practice Safety in all aspects of the job, while attending all kinds of jobs.
• Should be helpful and courteous to guests at all times.
• Should handover important messages and guest requests to the Engineers.
• Report any missing or broken property to the Engineer.
• Maintains high levels of personal hygiene.
• Be familiar with preventive maintenance schedules.
• Aware of the guest complaint handling procedure.
• Ensures the upkeep of all the equipment.
• Follows up on works handed over by the Engineering Executive.
• Performs any other duty assigned by the Engineering Executive.
• Abide by companies policy and decision
• To fill the Preventive maintenance chart with all the required information after completion of preventive works as well as all kind of complaints.
• Abides by the key handling procedures.
• Follows all safety and security measures.
• Safeguard and protect Hotel Property.
• To carry out start and end of the shift duties.
• Keeping the workshop and engineering machinery areas clean and neat.
• To report any maintenance issues in the guestroom, Machinery area’s and at the Public areas.
Business plan /Analysis:-
• Helping the Engineer in analyzing all guest complaints and feedbacks.
• Helping the Engineer in analyzing all machinery history and complaints.
• Should be aware of company’s business plan.
• Should be aware of departmental financials.
General Duty:
• Maintain good working relations with fellow colleagues and management.
• Provide other duties and services as assigned by the Associate Director of Engineering.
• Show quick response in handling of emergency situations.
• To have complete knowledge of facilities available in-house.
• Must be thorough on fire and safety procedures.
• Adheres to hygiene standards.
• Follows environmental issues.
• Ensures that personal grooming is adhered as per standards.
