Required QualificationsUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in statutory accounting, preferably within a multinational organization
Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax legislation.Hands-on experience with SAP/R3 and Microsoft Office applications
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment
Knowledge of VAT regulations, corporate taxation, and fixed asset accounting
Experience dealing with tax authorities and external auditors

Responsibilities
The General Ledger Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing all statutory accounting and financial reporting activities of the plant, ensuring compliance with local legislation, tax regulations, and corporate accounting policies
Reporting directly to the Plant Financial Manager, this role ensures the accuracy of financial records, statutory accounts, tax reporting, and fixed asset accounting while acting as the key liaison with fiscal authorities and auditors
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the plant's financial accounting activities in compliance with local regulations and group accounting policies
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of annual financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and supporting disclosures
Maintain and manage the company's Fiscal Register, ensuring compliance with accounting and VAT requirements
Prepare and submit all tax declarations, including:VAT returns
State budget obligations declarations
Other statutory reports and filings
Manage and ensure the accuracy of fixed asset accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and asset controls
Support and coordinate interactions with tax authorities during audits, inspections, and fiscal reviews
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and company procedures
Support statutory and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
Collaborate with Plant Finance, Operations, and Shared Service teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
