The Firm is based in Kochi and is currently providing services to various National and Multi National companies.
Role Description
The Present opening is for the Corporate and Transactional Associate in the Firm. This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Lawyer at Quint Law Partners located in Ernakulam. The Associate Lawyer will be responsible for day-to-day legal tasks, including conducting research, drafting contracts, undertaking due diligence and coordinating with legal teams of the clients of the Firm. The role also involves representation of corporate litigation matters of the Firm and the associate should be comfortable in handling litigation as well as transactional work.

• Courtroom litigation and client representation experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Corporate Legal Counsel to work with our US-based staffing and recruiting agency. As part of our management team, this role will manage the company's legal affairs in close collaboration with senior management.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience working with US-based companies, a strong command of corporate legal practices, and the ability to handle high-level legal responsibilities independently.
Responsibilities:
Legal Management:
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including client agreements, vendor contracts, and employment/HR agreements.
• Redline and revise contract drafts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external US attorneys.
• Ensure that all contractual terms comply with applicable laws and align with company policies.
Legal Compliance and Advisory:
• Provide legal counsel on US employment law matters, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Advise senior management on legal risks, business strategies, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain awareness of evolving US legal and regulatory developments relevant to staffing and recruiting.
Collaboration and Oversight:
• Serve as a key liaison with senior management and external legal counsel in the US for complex legal matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on legal and business issues.
• Develop and implement processes for risk management and compliance.
Dispute Resolution:
• Manage and oversee legal disputes, investigations, and other contentious matters in coordination with external legal counsel.
• Draft and review settlement agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents related to dispute resolution.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
• Law degree (LL.B./LL.M.) from a recognized university in India.
• Admission to the Bar Council of India is required. Admission to a US state bar is a plus.
Experience:
• Minimum 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal roles.
• Significant experience working with US-based companies on corporate legal affairs, including employment law, compliance, and contract negotiation.
Skill Set:
• Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of US employment laws and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to redline and finalize agreements with precision.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with global teams and external attorneys.
• High level of professionalism and integrity.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
Location:
Remote (India) and must work US business hours, + am to 5:30 pm Eastern Time, Monday - Friday.
