Front Office Receptionist
Job Description
Exact Staff is seeking for a motivated and reliable Front Office Receptionist
for a private dental office in Bakersfield, CA. The Front Office Receptionist serves
as the first point of contact and greeter for patients and visitors upon
arrival, managing front desk operations, and maintaining patient records. This
position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, scheduling
appointments, verifying insurance information, and supporting the daily
administrative functions of the practice.
Full time, Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $21.00
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Responsibilities
• Greet patients and visitors in a
professional and friendly manner.
• Answer and direct incoming phone
calls promptly and courteously.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule
patient appointments.
• Verify dental insurance
eligibility and benefits.
• Check patients in and out for
appointments.
• Collect co-pays, payments, and
outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate patient records
and update demographic information.
• Process patient intake forms and
other required documentation.
• Coordinate communication between
patients, dentists, hygienists, and staff.
• Handle appointment reminders and
follow-up calls.
• Able to input dental codes adequately
into the system
• Manage incoming and outgoing
mail, emails, and office correspondence.
• Ensure patient confidentiality
and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with administrative
projects and general office support as needed.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
required.
• Previous medical receptionist, medical
dental biller or dental office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology
and dental insurance is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
and dental practice management software.
• Strong communication and
interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and
multitasking abilities.
• Ability to maintain
professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and
accuracy.
