Executive Inn at Whistler Village is seeking a welcoming and service-driven Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team.
Located in the heart of Whistler Village, our boutique hotel offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating positive guest experiences. As one of the first and last points of contact for our guests, Guest Service Agents play an important role in delivering professional, personalized service throughout each stay.
Previous hotel experience is an asset but is not required. We are happy to train the right person with a strong customer-service mindset.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
Provide professional and personalized service throughout the guest experience.
Assist with reservations, guest accounts, payments and general inquiries.
Respond to guest requests, concerns and service recovery situations in a professional and solutions-focused manner.
Provide guests with information and recommendations about Whistler and the surrounding area.
Answer telephone and electronic inquiries professionally.
Communicate closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance and hotel leadership to coordinate guest needs and resolve concerns.
Maintain accurate guest information and Front Office records.
Maintain a welcoming, organized and professional Front Desk environment.
Support hotel safety, security and established Front Office procedures.
Contribute to a positive team environment and consistently demonstrate Executive Hotels' guest-service standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned by Front Office and hotel leadership.
Qualifications
Previous hotel, hospitality or customer-service experience is an asset.
Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, approachable and solutions-focused attitude.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain composed and effective in a busy environment.
Comfortable learning and working with hotel technology and Property Management Systems.
Reliable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of Whistler and the surrounding area is an asset.
Ability to work a flexible schedule within a 24-hour hotel operation, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
