Freelance Videographer / Video Editor (Growth Path to Part-Time or Full-Time)
Job Description
Proven videography and editing experience with a portfolio showing range — interviews/testimonials, brand videos, event coverage, and short-form social content
Strong grasp of visual storytelling — you know how to structure a video that holds attention and drives action, not just one that looks good
Ability to troubleshoot gear and adapt on the fly in unpredictable, real-world shooting environments
Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable representing our agency professionally in front of clients and event organizers
Based in the Tampa / Sarasota / St. Pete area, with the flexibility to travel occasionally
A continual learner who genuinely prioritizes self-improvement — you seek out new techniques, tools, and feedback because getting better matters to you
Humble, human, and confident — but never arrogant
You listen well, own your mistakes, celebrate the team, and let the work speak
Bonus points: interest or experience in content writing, social media, SEO, AI-assisted production workflows, or marketing strategy — the more you bring, the bigger this role can become
To apply: Submit your portfolio or reel along with a short note about the project you're most proud of, why — and one thing you've taught yourself in the last year

Responsibilities
Freelance Videographer / Video Editor (Growth Path to Part-Time or Full-Time)
You'll shoot on location with clients in the Tampa Bay area (medical practices, showrooms, facilities, events), travel occasionally to other US cities to capture our founder's speaking engagements, and handle post-production remotely
Projects range from client testimonial and brand story videos to event/keynote coverage, social-ready short-form content, website hero video, and educational pieces
Plan and run on-location shoots: camera, lighting, and audio setups that deliver professional results in real-world environments (offices, clinics, warehouses, events, conference stages)
Travel to other cities as needed to film speaking engagements and capture keynote, audience, and behind-the-scenes footage (travel expenses covered)
Direct non-professional talent — business owners, physicians, staff, and customers — so they come across natural and confident on camera
Handle full post-production: editing, color correction, audio cleanup, motion graphics, and titling
Deliver platform-ready versions: widescreen for web/YouTube, vertical cuts for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
Work from creative briefs, incorporate feedback in reasonable revision cycles, and hit agreed deadlines
Keep organized project files, raw footage archives, and clean handoff of final deliverables
Communicate clearly and proactively — we keep clients informed on everything, and that starts with our team
You'll get a clear brief, direct access to decision-makers, and fast feedback
Job description
Freelance Videographer / Video Editor (Growth Path to Part-Time or Full-Time)
Content Engagement Lab — Tampa, FL (local shoots; some travel; editing remote) $30 – $45 an hour · Freelance / Project-based to start
About Us
Content Engagement Lab is an AI-forward sales and marketing consultancy, 18 years strong, serving healthcare practices, manufacturers, and service businesses across the country. We track everything we do — every campaign, every call, every click, every closed sale — and our clients stay with us for years because the work performs. Video is a growing part of how we tell client stories and how we show up on stages around the country, and we're looking for a talented creative to grow with us.
The Role
We need a videographer/editor who can take a project from concept to polished final cut. You'll shoot on location with clients in the Tampa Bay area (medical practices, showrooms, facilities, events), travel occasionally to other US cities to capture our founder's speaking engagements, and handle post-production remotely. Projects range from client testimonial and brand story videos to event/keynote coverage, social-ready short-form content, website hero video, and educational pieces.
This starts as freelance, project-based work — but for the right person, it can grow into a part-time or full-time role, especially if you're interested in the broader marketing world: content writing, social media, SEO, AI training, and market planning. If you consider yourself an "AI Forward, People First" kind of person, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
• Plan and run on-location shoots: camera, lighting, and audio setups that deliver professional results in real-world environments (offices, clinics, warehouses, events, conference stages)
• Travel to other cities as needed to film speaking engagements and capture keynote, audience, and behind-the-scenes footage (travel expenses covered)
• Direct non-professional talent — business owners, physicians, staff, and customers — so they come across natural and confident on camera
• Handle full post-production: editing, color correction, audio cleanup, motion graphics, and titling
• Deliver platform-ready versions: widescreen for web/YouTube, vertical cuts for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Work from creative briefs, incorporate feedback in reasonable revision cycles, and hit agreed deadlines
• Keep organized project files, raw footage archives, and clean handoff of final deliverables
• Communicate clearly and proactively — we keep clients informed on everything, and that starts with our team
Equipment
Use ours or bring your own — we're set up either way. Our kit includes Canon DSLR cameras, drones, gimbal stabilizers, professional lighting, wireless mics, and more. If you fly drones, FAA Part 107 certification is a plus.
What We're Looking For
• Proven videography and editing experience with a portfolio showing range — interviews/testimonials, brand videos, event coverage, and short-form social content
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or Final Cut Pro with comparable results); Photoshop/Lightroom a plus
• Strong grasp of visual storytelling — you know how to structure a video that holds attention and drives action, not just one that looks good
• Ability to troubleshoot gear and adapt on the fly in unpredictable, real-world shooting environments
• Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable representing our agency professionally in front of clients and event organizers
• Based in the Tampa / Sarasota / St. Pete area, with the flexibility to travel occasionally
• A continual learner who genuinely prioritizes self-improvement — you seek out new techniques, tools, and feedback because getting better matters to you
• Humble, human, and confident — but never arrogant. You listen well, own your mistakes, celebrate the team, and let the work speak
• Bonus points: interest or experience in content writing, social media, SEO, AI-assisted production workflows, or marketing strategy — the more you bring, the bigger this role can become
How We Work
You'll get a clear brief, direct access to decision-makers, and fast feedback. We respect your craft and your time — scope is defined up front, revisions are reasonable, and invoices get paid promptly. We're AI forward and people first: we use the best tools on the planet to do more, faster — and we never lose sight of the humans on both sides of the camera.
Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour, based on experience and project scope
To apply: Submit your portfolio or reel along with a short note about the project you're most proud of, why — and one thing you've taught yourself in the last year.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.61 per hour
Benefits:
• Flexible schedule
Work Location: Remote
