Freelance Menswear Fashion Designer / Garment Technician / Pattern Maker (m/f/d) Trovill UG (haftungsbeschränkt) i. Gr. Our design direction combines modern Western-style apparel with Mediterranean-inspired elegance , focusing on fit, fabric, quality, and timeless everyday wear. We are looking for an India-based Freelance Menswear Fashion Designer / Garment Technician / Pattern Maker to support us with both creative design development and technical garment development. This role is ideal for someone who can bring fresh menswear ideas while ensuring each garment is technically correct, well-fitted, production-ready, and suitable for both European and North American, especially Canadian, menswear markets . Key Responsibilities You will support Trovill with: Reviewing and improving menswear designs from a creative and technical perspective Creating and checking size spec sheets and graded measurement charts Defining POMs, tolerances, construction details, seams, trims, finishing instructions, and fit notes Supporting pattern-making logic, garment proportions, and fit development Creating or refining technical sketches and tech-pack details Reviewing tech packs before supplier/factory submission Advising on fit, silhouette, fabric suitability, production feasibility, and commercial appeal Supporting sample review, fit comments, and supplier/factory communication when needed Ideal Profile We are looking for someone with: Experience as a Menswear Fashion Designer, Garment Technician, Pattern Maker, Technical Designer, or similar Strong knowledge of menswear fit, sizing, grading, measurements, and construction Preferred: experience developing menswear measurements, size specs, grading, or fit blocks for both European and North American / Canadian markets Experience with woven and knit garments Ability to create or improve factory-ready tech packs Practical understanding of pattern-making and garment fit Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, seams, finishing, and production requirements Good communication skills in English Product Categories Experience in one or more of these categories would be helpful: Oxford shirts / cotton shirts Overshirts / shirt jackets Hoodies and sweatshirts Quarter-zip sweaters T-shirts Chinos / trousers Casual menswear essentials Nice to Have Experience with premium or contemporary menswear brands Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or similar tech-pack tools Experience preparing tech packs for overseas production Understanding of low-MOQ or start-up brand development Ability to suggest design, fabric, and construction improvements How to Apply Please send your application to: career@trovill.com Please include: Your portfolio At least one example tech pack, preferably for menswear Examples of size specs, graded measurement charts, or pattern/fit work, if available A brief note about your relevant menswear design, garment technology, patternmaking, sizing, grading, or tech-pack experience Please mention whether you have experience with EU and North American / Canadian menswear sizing, measurements, grading, or fit development Applications without a portfolio and example tech pack will not be considered.
