COMPENSATION
₹4–6 LPA + ESOPs (Based on experience and fit)
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is not a traditional marketing role.
You will be responsible for helping YChat acquire users, build communities, run growth experiments, create content, collect feedback, and discover scalable growth channels.
As one of the first non-technical hires, you will have significant ownership over user growth, community building, and go-to-market strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
User Growth & Acquisition
• Design and execute user acquisition campaigns
• Build and manage Campus Ambassador programs
• Identify and test new growth channels
• Drive referrals, invites, and community-led growth initiatives
• Develop partnerships with colleges, student clubs, and communities
Community Building
• Build and manage user communities
• Engage directly with users
• Gather feedback and insights from early adopters
• Organize online and offline user engagement activities
• Turn users into advocates
Content & Social Growth
• Create and coordinate short-form content for Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms
• Develop product demos and feature launch campaigns
• Capture customer stories and testimonials
• Work closely with the Founder on storytelling and brand building
Product Growth
• Analyze user behavior and engagement metrics
• Conduct user interviews
• Identify activation and retention opportunities
• Run growth experiments and measure results
• Work with the product team to improve user onboarding and engagement
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Have 1–3 years of experience in growth, marketing, community, startups, or creator ecosystems
• Are obsessed with consumer internet products
• Have built communities, social media pages, events, or growth initiatives
• Enjoy talking to users and understanding behavior
• Can execute independently with minimal supervision
• Are comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Want to help build a company from an early stage
Bonus Points
• Experience working at an early-stage startup
• Experience managing college communities or ambassador programs
• Strong content creation skills
• Experience growing Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Discord, or WhatsApp communities
