Job Description
We are looking for our founding full-stack engineer to help us build CBCatalyst. You will be responsible for designing and building the core technology that powers our product. You will work closely with the founding team and help launch our product.
Key Qualifications
• Experience: 3-6 Years
• Location: Bangalore preferred, but remote is ok as well
• Proven contribution to planning, development and launch of one or more web based applications
• Proficient in front-end web development technologies - HTML5, CSS3, ES6, React JS, NodeJS
• Expertise in back-end web development - REST APIs, Web Services, SQL, Postgres or any other RDBMS. Knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Good understanding of software development principles and practices such as testing, debugging, and code optimization.
Soft Skills
• High degree of ownership and can operate independently, but doesn’t hesitate to seek help and support from those around you to get your job done.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and the utmost attention to detail
Additional Skills
• UX or UI designing experience is an advantage.
• Experience in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and website performance.
• Knowledge of techniques to optimise application performance, such as caching, code optimization, and database indexing.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in agile development teams.
About CBCatalyst
CBCatalyst operates in the $500B+ custom-made cross-border engineering component industry (machining, forging, casting, etc.) by offering a unique way to help buyers find the perfect supplier for their parts. We are building the largest catalog of engineering components in the world, and using AI to match a supplier that has already manufactured a part similar to what the buyer needs (a 10x improvement from tools currently available).
CBCatalyst is funded by Silicon Valley’s South Park Commons and is part of the first-India cohort. Our leadership team includes former founders and experienced operators that includes former CTO (FullHarvest), VP and Head of Products (Zetwerk, Convoy), General Manager and Operators (Amazon UK, Wayfair, grow-trees.com).
