Location: Remote, preferably India (US hours, flexible)
Compensation: Competitive Salary (up to $24,000 with bonus) + Equity

: Roam is a platform that simplifies the migration process for international students moving to the U.S. by aggregating essential resources and services. From banking and SIM cards to insurance and visa support, Roam helps students streamline their relocation experience, allowing them to focus on their studies and make the most of their time abroad.

opportunity. We’re looking for passionate individuals to join our team and help shape the future of Roam’s product development.
Eligibility Criteria:
Students must be from
Tier-1
colleges such as IITs, IIITs, IISc, BITS, or other similar institutions.
A degree in Computer Science or related fields is preferred.
What You’ll Do
Build responsive, high-performance UIs using
TypeScript, Next.js/React, and TailwindCSS.
Translate product vision and Figma designs into polished, production-ready interfaces.
Collaborate with the CTO and backend team to deliver seamless end-to-end user experiences.
Develop and maintain reusable
UI components
and ensure design consistency across the product.
Implement smooth animations, micro-interactions, and fast, accessible interfaces with Stripe-level finesse.
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience
in frontend or full-stack development, ideally at a startup.
Strong eye for
UI/UX
and attention to detail.
Proficient in
mobile-first design, API integration, and frontend best practices .
Experience with
GitHub Actions, AWS, and CI/CD workflows.
Strong portfolio showcasing past work: personal sites, shipped products, GitHub contributions, or polished landing pages.
Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
Background from a Tier-1 institution (IITs, IIITs, NITs, BITS) is a strong plus.
Bonus Points
Experience working on
B2C or D2C
products, marketplaces, or growth-focused tools.
Passionate about building impactful, user-centric products.
Fast executor, clear communicator, and obsessive about polish.
