Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling food preparation, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, cashiering, and possess strong time management skills to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately and efficiently
Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items when appropriate
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
Ensure proper food safety practices are followed during food preparation and serving
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
Assist with food presentation and serving to enhance the dining experience
Uphold sanitation standards by cleaning work areas regularly and following proper hygiene protocols
Requirements
Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Basic understanding of upselling techniques to increase sales opportunities
