Overview:
DexaFit Atlanta is a leading health and wellness center dedicated to helping individuals achieve their fitness and wellness goals through advanced body composition analysis and metabolic testing. We use DXA scanning technology to provide accurate body composition assessments, as well as Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) and VO2 max metabolic tests to offer personalized insights and guidance to our clients. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Body Composition Technician and Metabolic Testing Specialist to join DexaFit Atlanta.
This is a Full-time position for T,W,T,F from 6:00am-4:00 pm. You also may be asked to work extra hours if the schedule deems it necessary. Your hours may fluctuate due to scheduling demands. You will work the hours needed according to the schedule so there will be some work schedule flexibility.
Responsibilities:
As a Body Composition Technician and Metabolic Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive body composition assessments, RMR, and VO2 max metabolic tests for our clients. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Your expertise in the fields of fitness, health, and wellness will play a crucial role in interpreting the test results and providing valuable information and recommendations to our clients to support their fitness journey. Your main responsibilities will include:
Operating the DXA scanner to accurately assess clients' body composition, including fat mass, lean mass, and bone density.
Conducting Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) tests to determine clients' caloric needs at rest.
Performing VO2 max metabolic tests to evaluate clients' aerobic fitness and cardiovascular capacity.
Analyzing test results and interpreting data to understand clients' individualized metabolic and body composition profiles.
Providing clear and actionable feedback to clients, offering insights on their health, fitness, and wellness goals.
Staying up to date with advancements in body composition assessment, metabolic testing, and related fields to continually improve the quality of service.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or student in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Nutrition, or related fields is strongly preferred.
Previous experience in conducting body composition assessments and metabolic testing is a plus.
Strong passion for fitness, health, and wellness, with a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.
Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex test results and provide guidance to clients.
Ability to work with diverse individuals and demonstrate empathy and understanding.
Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and analyzing data.
Able to work every T,W,T,F from 6am- 4pm.
