Financial Aid Officer
Job Description
Assist students in completing their financial aid applications.
Review, evaluate, and process financial aid applications to determine eligibility.
Provide one-on-one counseling to discuss financial options, budgeting, and strategies.
Maintain accurate and confidential financial aid records in compliance with institutional and government regulations.
Collaborate with departments such as Admissions, Student Services, and Academics to support student retention and success.
Stay current with changes to OSAP guidelines, financial aid regulations, and institutional policies.
Support students with scholarship and grant information as needed.
Qualifications
1–2 years of experience with OSAP applications (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Education, Business, or a related field (preferred).
Strong understanding of financial aid processes, compliance, and documentation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency in financial aid software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Previous experience in higher education or student advising is an asset.
