Join our ST INME team within Chemtech division in India as Finance - Plant and Project Controller.
In this role you will be accountable for:
• Take ownership and accountability for the management and oversight of a project throughout its lifecycle, taking an active role in all aspects of the process
• Along with the Project Manager, responsible for ensuring the project stays on track with regards to both budgets and timelines
• Organize periodic project reviews and raise red flags/governance issues to management attention without delay
• Project cashflow and inventory management
• Pro-actively manage hourly rates set-up in SAP
• Ensure invoices are timely paid and any issues causing delay are timely raised and resolved
• Contribute as SME to the development of governance, processes and training materials
• Cross functional collaboration, especially with Project Management and Sales teams
• Ability to make a lesson learned report at the closure of the project
• Forecasting: Accuracy in forecasting project revenues for each month/quarter and ensuring accuracy
• Project Cost tracking against plan and claim settlement with customer
• Collaborates with Operation, procurement & PM head and senior management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis.
• Ensures proper project accounting in accordance with IFRS Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements under IndAS
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost accountant with 5-7 years' experience
• Knowledge of SAP FICO
• Strong knowledge of IFRS & IndAS.
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, internally as well as externally
• Management & Cost accounting experience
• Demonstrate strong and pragmatic business acumen
• Proficient in office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint
• Meticulous attention to details
• Ability to handle multiple small-mid size projects at a time
• In depth expertise with cost estimates and cost analysis
• Basic understanding of Contract Terms & Conditions
• Ideally from a multinational company
